Welcome to Survivor Holidays 4 – Valentine's Day!
Here's how the game works:
Tribal Play:
During tribal play there are tribes of players. The tribes compete against each other in challenges for immunity. You will be given at least a 24 hour notice of the challenge time in addition to details regarding whether is it a speed challenge, etc.
It is very important that you attend challenges and that you do your best. I try my best to explain the rules of the challenge as detailed as possible but if you have any questions or need clarification, do not hesitate to ask.
***************************************************************
After a challenge is over, the losing tribe will attend "Tribal Council."
Tribal Council is held live in an AIM chat room. You will be asked questions and give your vote/reason. If you cannot attend tribal council, you are to let the hosts know in advance and we will post your tribal council question in your journal which you then must answer and leave your vote/reason before the appointed time for tribal council. If you fail to let us know you won't be there and/or if you fail to respond to your tribal council question, your vote will be cast against yourself.
If you fail to vote, your vote will be cast against yourself. If you fail to vote twice in a row you may be ejected from the game.
If you are inactive in this game, you will receive a warning posted in your journal by the hosts. If you fail to improve your inactivity, you may be replaced at the hosts discretion.
When you vote, you must give an explanation for your vote. Once you have cast your vote, your vote is final and cannot be changed. Think long and hard before you cast your vote.
*************************************************************
Individual Play:
At a certain point in the game everyone may be merged on the same tribe and compete individually. The rules for Tribal Play still apply, except that the challenges will be individual and you will compete for individual immunity. Everyone will attend Tribal Council and everyone will vote. You can vote for anyone at Tribal Council except for yourself or the immunity holder.
************************************************************
Confessionals:
Everyone has their own journal. You are asked to post all of your thoughts on the game in your journal. You will be required to make at least one post with your thoughts per episode. If you fail to do this and your tribe is attending tribal council, your vote will be automatically cast against yourself.
You are also required to post all conversations you have with other players about the game. Do this by making a new thread in your journal and posting all conversations for that day in one thread. For example, make a new thread titled "Convos 1-1-05" and post your first convo. Then add a reply with your next convo, etc.
Occasionally throughout the game, the hosts may post questions in your journal. In addition to completing your confessional for each episode, you must also answer any questions the hosts post for you. Just like a confessional, if you fail to answer questions and your tribe attends tribal council, your vote will be automatically cast against yourself. So make sure you keep your confessionals and host's questions up-to-date.
Your confessionals are for your thoughts and feelings on the game, strategy, other people, etc. You can post whatever you want. No other players can see anything in your journal. You and the hosts are the only people with access to your journal.
***********************************************************
Being voted out of the game:
Each round/episode, the player that receives the most votes at Tribal Council will be voted out of the game.
At a certain point a "jury" will begin to form made up of players voted out of the game. The number of players in the jury is predetermined before the start of the game, and that number will not be revealed at this time.
If you are voted out of the game and are on jury, you are expected to continue checking in on the game periodically and participating as required.
A forum will be created for the players voted out of the game to communicate on their thoughts and feelings with one another.
The jury will vote at the final Tribal Council for the winner of the game.
************************************************************
Please reply in this thread with any additional questions you may have and also please post:
"I have reviewed the rules of Survivor Holidays and I pledge to play the game to the best of my ability, follow the rules, and remain active…even after I am voted out."
