SurvivorGracie: Hi Annette? I'm Gracie
AML6349: Hi Gracie! So sorry I missed you! My husband somehow opened up AIM on this computer and didn't know it (he's kinda AIM illiterate - lol). I just woke up like 20 minutes ago!
SurvivorGracie: lol .. husband sounds fun
SurvivorGracie: there are so many people to meet!
AML6349: I know, this is awesome... how are you?
SurvivorGracie: I'm good!
SurvivorGracie: a little overwhelmed
SurvivorGracie: how are you?
AML6349: Not bad - just trying to wake up and get my daughter to stop crabbing.
SurvivorGracie: aw .. how old is your daughter?
AML6349: She just turned 2 on November 27th.
SurvivorGracie: aw .. that's so sweet!
AML6349: Sometimes - lol. She's currently working on her 2 year molars and we've been trying to get her into her 'big girl' bed so it's been kinda stressful lately.
SurvivorGracie: yikes .. it sounds it
SurvivorGracie: she's not happy about her "big girl" bed?
AML6349: She's OK with it sometimes. She usually falls asleep in it, but then wakes up a few hours later and wants us to lay with her or sleep in our bed.
SurvivorGracie: aw ...
AML6349: So tell me about you - I do know you're from Sandusky, Ohio right? I'm not *too* far from you - we try to get to Cedar Point at least once a summer, only about a 3 - 3.5 hour drive down from my town.
SurvivorGracie: Sandusky is a fun place .. though everything is all about Cedar Point
AML6349: Yeah, I bet... kinda like a mini-version of Orlando being everything about Disney World, eh?
SurvivorGracie: lol .. yeah .. sort of like that
SurvivorGracie: but I'm 34 and work as a Legal Secretary
SurvivorGracie: which is fun .. and boring all at the same time
SurvivorGracie: do you like staying at home with your daughter?
AML6349: Yes, I do - it's fun to be able to stay in my PJs until noon and just spend time with her.
SurvivorGracie: I'm officially jealous :-)
AML6349: I'm glad we were able to take care of some bills so I was able to stay home. Until she was born, I worked at Hell Depot... I mean, err, Home Depot.
SurvivorGracie: lol
SurvivorGracie: I take it you didn't like working there so much
AML6349: The job & the people were wonderful - it was the rude customers that did me in.
SurvivorGracie: omg .. I can totally relate to that
SurvivorGracie: some of the people who come into the firm .. are just RUDE
AML6349: I'm 8 months pregnant and some guy is like 'Can you lift this drywall on my car for me?' .... Look at me, wtf do you think! lol
SurvivorGracie: some people!
AML6349: People just expected you to be their personal shopping... follow them around with a cart and just load things for them.
SurvivorGracie: didn't you just want to buy them a clue!
AML6349: Or a smack upside the head, whichever works better.
SurvivorGracie: *grin* and sometimes that smack upside the head is so much more satisfying
AML6349: So what kinds of things do you do as a legal secretary?
SurvivorGracie: mostly typing briefs
SurvivorGracie: which are NOT brief at all!
SurvivorGracie: we do mostly criminal work
SurvivorGracie: which .. I'm not too fond of
AML6349: Oh boy... how long have you been working there?
SurvivorGracie: 4 years
AML6349: Cool
SurvivorGracie: yeah .. summer is fun though .. 'cause I work part-time at CP
SurvivorGracie: I love working at the rides
AML6349: Which is your favorite?
SurvivorGracie: hmm .. I like working the train
SurvivorGracie: that's actually one of the best .. *grin* no one gets sick
AML6349: I bet! I haven't been there since 2003 - it's hard to find someone to watch Shanley for the entire day.
SurvivorGracie: you so have to come back!
AML6349: I want to this year!
SurvivorGracie: definitely! :-)
AML6349: What's the worst ride to work on? In your opinion.
SurvivorGracie: easily the Raptor
AML6349: Go figure, my favorite. lol Why's that?
SurvivorGracie: it's out in the open and people faint and get sick
AML6349: Ohhh, I see.
SurvivorGracie: just makes it harder ... especially since the workers are in the sun too
AML6349: I thought it might be a little kid ride - maybe kids get scared and pee themselves.
SurvivorGracie: lol!
SurvivorGracie: I haven't worked any of the kiddee rides
AML6349: Do you get your pick of what to do or are you just assigned to something?
SurvivorGracie: well ... I sort of get my pick ... I usually list four or five places I want to work .. and they assign me as needed
AML6349: That's cool. Hey, I need to go take a shower & change a smelly kid's butt. Talk to you later?
SurvivorGracie: definitely!
SurvivorGracie: I've enjoyed chatting with you
AML6349: You too!! Talk to you soon!
SurvivorGracie: bye Annette :-)
