Gracie: hey there
ANNETTE: Heeey, how are you?
Gracie: pretty good
Gracie: I think we've pretty much got the boys stomped
ANNETTE: Sweet - I tried to keep it going (when I could), but I had to go up to the ER this morning and for some reason, it stopped on my computer while I was gone.
Gracie: aw .. how come the ER? is everyone okay?
ANNETTE: Well, Shanley was standing on the toliet, trying to reach out to the sink - and she slipped, fell and wacked her head on the counter on the way down. She had a big ole' goose-egg and cut her head open. We took her up, just in case they needed stitches, but it was such a clean & straight cut that they just used an adhesive glue.
Gracie: wow .. poor Shanley!
Gracie: I would have been freaking out big time
ANNETTE: What was weird was that she cried intitially, then just wanted to play. I was just Uh, you have a big ole cut on your head, why aren't you upset? lol
Gracie: lol .. kids .. never can figure them out!
Gracie: and when they're hardly hurt .. they cry like anything
ANNETTE: Yeah - go figure, eh?
Gracie: *grin* something like me
ANNETTE: She's in a great mood tonight, go figure.
ANNETTE: Err, today.
Gracie: that's a good thing!
Gracie: her Mommy likes that more better
ANNETTE: Oh yeah. We were supposed to go to a Mom group today but it just didn't work out - I only ended up with 4 hours of sleep by the time we got back and settled down.
Gracie: aw .. I hope you get to take a nap today
Gracie: for some reason the auto reloader at home wouldn't run with my screen saver on
Gracie: so I turned it off for the day
Gracie: lol .. I hope its working at home
Gracie: but I have it running on my computer here at work today
ANNETTE: I had 3 screens open right now - they occasionally stop for some reason, I don't know why.
Gracie: *nods* .. I just press the show URL button and it starts up again
ANNETTE: Yep, me too.
ANNETTE: I just check in on it every once in a while, up to 26360 on our gains (at that very second)
Gracie: yay!
Gracie: the guys only have like 8000 and some I think
Gracie: but their losses are over 14,000
Gracie: I have it running on our gains and their losses
ANNETTE: I switch back and forth, if I do both my computer freaks out. I had it running on their losses on Don's computer for most of the night, but it won't do it now... maybe it just needs a reboot.
ANNETTE: Do we have more gains than losses?
Gracie: we have WAY more gains than losses
Gracie: right now we have 4905 in losses
ANNETTE: Niiiice! We *so* got this in the bag as long as we keep doing what we're doing... I wonder if they gave up.
Gracie: and our gains are at 26613
Gracie: no idea
ANNETTE: At one time, they were in the lead - weren't they?
Gracie: I think most of the guys are scared about having to go back to tc though
Gracie: yeah .. at the beginning they were .. they had all 6 guys working on it
ANNETTE: Ya know what I just realized!
Gracie: what?
ANNETTE: Today's Groundhog's Day!
Gracie: OMG .. you're right!
Gracie: I hadn't even thought of that
ANNETTE: I wonder if he seen his shadow or not.
Gracie: lol .. I don't care what he sees .. as long as winter goes away soon
ANNETTE: I always thought it was mixed up - to me, if I seen my shadow, it would mean that the sun is out so spring is closer... not more winter.
Gracie: yeah .. I agree!
Gracie: I think that's why I can never remember which is which for what he sees
ANNETTE: According to this website - he seen a shadow at 7:31 AM... he hasn't *not* seen his shadow since 1999.
Gracie: meh .. time for a new groundhog then
ANNETTE: lol, yes.
Gracie: here's the other thing that confuses me
Gracie: if he sees his shadow .. that means 6 more weeks of winter
Gracie: but if he doesn't
Gracie: then spring is in 6 weeks
Gracie: lol .. its the SAME thing
ANNETTE: Hey, I never thought of that - conspiracy!!
Gracie: lol .. you know a man had to have thought of THAT
ANNETTE: Ain't that the truth!
Gracie: lol .. probably because he couldn't figure out the difference
ANNETTE: I keep meaning to ask you - what's your middle name?
Gracie: Ann
ANNETTE: Grace Ann? Cute.
Gracie: lol .. yeah
Gracie: I don't think it really fits too well ... but eh
Gracie: lol .. the parents didn't ask for my input at the time
ANNETTE: Were you named after anyone?
Gracie: nope .. not that I know of anyway
Gracie: were you?
ANNETTE: Sort of - my great-grandmother Annetta.
Gracie: that's a pretty name!
Gracie: what's your middle name?
ANNETTE: Marie - like most of the women in my family.
Gracie: ah ... that's very pretty
Gracie: it suits you
Gracie: Annette Marie
Gracie: yeah .. I like that
Gracie: how did you come up with Shanley's name? It's unusual
ANNETTE: Well, I got Shanley from a Baby Names From Around The World book. It was in the Irish section and I liked the meaning of "Hero's Daughter". It was one of the few that Don liked also... I kept comparing it against other names and it always won.
ANNETTE: Elisabeth is after my favorite Survivor - Elisabeth (Filarski) Hasselbeck.
Gracie: that is definitely a great meaning for a name!
Gracie: and Elisabeth too ... I like the spelling of that with an "s" instead of a "z"
ANNETTE: Between her and a best friend I had in grade school who spelled it the same way, it just sorta stuck with me.
Gracie:
Gracie: and when she starts school .. you can be pretty much assured there won't be five or six other "shanley's" with her
ANNETTE: I'm already picking out names for future kids. Yes, that's one reason I decided not to go with Abigail - which was high on my list too.
Gracie: lol
Gracie: I know like 3 Abigails
ANNETTE: Same.
ANNETTE: I didn't when I was pregnant but I do now.
Gracie: yeah .. seems like it's becoming a pretty common name
Gracie: in the office where I work .. two of my co-workers both named theirs sons Jackson
ANNETTE: That's really popular too.
Gracie: I hadn't heard that one until just recently ...
ANNETTE: I can think of at least 3 moms with a Jackson baby on my mom message board I go to.
Gracie: wow .. it is popular!
Gracie: if I had a baby girl I was thinking of the name Bethan
Gracie: Bethany*
ANNETTE: That's cute! How about a boy name?
Gracie: a boy name would be Colin
Gracie: I have no idea how popular those names are though
Gracie: my nephew goes to school with a girl called: Burgundy
ANNETTE: Wow... that's a unique one.
ANNETTE: Don and I agreed that if we ever had a little boy, we'd name him Andre (Dre for short) but we can't agree on a middle name. I like Sebastian but Don doesn't.
ANNETTE: Heeey, how are you?
Gracie: pretty good
Gracie: I think we've pretty much got the boys stomped
