Final Two Speech
(Some of this can be used before the jury torches us or afterwards if I’m still alive)
Hello Jury. I’m sure you can’t wait to skewer me every which way that pleases you. So let’s get to it.
Starting with the very first tribal council, Jenne and I controlled the vote. Jenne was targeted early for the first vote and I didn’t want her voted out. I quietly put Lisa’s name out for a possibility instead. And Lisa WAS voted out. That set the tone for every single succeeding vote.
In every tribal council I went to, I always knew who was being vote out and I always voted for the person who was voted out. And just because I knew who it was and voted that way, doesn’t mean that I *liked* it. There were people that it was extremely difficult to vote out.
When our tribes merged, the target was supposed to be Kyle. Jamie demanded it. Tenzil was too close to Jamie and they needed to be split apart. Voting out Jamie was total strategy.
I regretted voting out Annette when we did. I enjoyed you as a person and as a person and as a player you deserved to go farther in the game than you did. You were simply a threat and too good of a player to keep.
Ellie, I admire you a great deal. You played a terrific game and you went down fighting and you went down with class.
Part of my strategy coming into this game was to build relationships with everyone. I believe I accomplished that. There are qualities about each of the jurors that I admire. My name may have been different, but I’m still me and I still played as me. I thrive on connecting with people. I’m a caring and gentle person. Every relationship I made, every conversation I had with all of you was genuine.
Yes I lied and yes I deceived. But I played the game of Survivor and the reality of Survivor is only ONE person wins. In this game, 17 other people LOSE. I was always prepared to lose the same I was always prepared to win. Win or Lose, I wanted to have fun and enjoy the people along the way.
Thank you.
