It was early morning and the eight members of Ras Momi were slowly waking up in the cold mountain air. They still hadn’t made it to camp, they’d slept outside, their packs were wet with morning dew…things were just a mess.
Chase Adkins and CJ Blake had been eyeing each other from the moment their eyes locked back in the hotel. They were like two lions in the jungle, circling around, unsure of how to react. It was only fitting that they found themselves wandering off into the jungle, followed only by cameras, which neither of them seemed to mind.
Chase broke the ice. "So what’s up?"
CJ grinned at Chase and bit her lower lip. "I made a bet on who was going to try and get in my pants first - you or Dan."
"Well, Dan's just a little boy. He doesn't deserve the honor." Chase flashed a cocky smile. "I think I'm the man for ya baby."
CJ blushed, but her mind began working quickly. CJ did like Chase, but she never passed up an opportunity to use her sex appeal as a weapon.
"Well, you won't get many opportunities unless you're in an alliance with me."
And so it began.
"Hmmm. Are you offering?” Chase arched an eyebrow. He only half believed her. “Because if that was the prize then I think I would accept."
"It's an offer. I can't 100% promise you'll get some, but you'll have the opportunity to try." CJ gave Chase her trademark stare that could stop a man dead. "I can be charmed… So you'll ally with me?"
"Sure will, you lovely sex kitten."
CJ nodded. "I'll agree to an alliance. And if I say I won't screw you over, I won't." CJ paused and smiled coyly. "You would know flirting is my weakness. Now, I'm wondering if you're to be trusted."
Chase formulated a good answer. "You can trust me. You may have heard some things about me or maybe not, but I'm playing this game differently. You can definitely trust me. I'm sticking with you CJ. I swear it." Grinning, Chase looked into the Pennsylvanian’s eyes. It was a shame they were getting along so well since he would probably have to write her name down sometime.
CJ knew all too well how good someone's word was in this game, but she didn't go there. “You know, intelligent people should stick together. Not vote each other out. They do that so much in Survivor and it makes me mad." CJ smiled. "Hardcore players to the end!"
"Yes, and then we'll make sweet love all night long."
CJ held up a hand in mock protest. "Whoa. I better not go making those kinds of promises. Promising sex is a BAD, bad thing."
Chase ran a hand through his long hair, and struck his sexiest pose. "Just promise that I can bathe you or something on the last day."
She grinned. "You can bathe me on the first day."
"Yes ma'am!" Chase perked up.
"Hey now…I'm not THAT good in bed," the twenty-two year old teased. She leaned over and gave Chase a peck on the cheek. "Actually,” She fluttered her eyelashes, “I am.” The brunette giggled. “I'll bet you five bucks of my million that you try to cop a feel by the time we go to the first immunity challenge."
Chase was always up for a challenge. "Your million? I see. Hmmmm. Yeah. I probably will, sweetie"
CJ was a sucker for pet names. "Sweetie? Oooh….you are winning points boy."
"Anything for my sweetie." Chase was pouring it on.
"Misjudged people," She laughed, "And we're both too horny for our own good."
Chase smiled, though trying not to let her get to him, "Exactly."

They mutually pulled away from each other, but their eyes locked in the process. Both were aware of what might happen if they didn't look away or otherwise interrupt the silence.
The camera crew was a nervous wreck. What could potentially happen would give them footage gold.
To their delight, today happened to be a very lucky day. The lips of CJ Blake and Chase Adkins met. It was like the beginnings of an adult video in the middle of the jungle. Hands were roaming. Toes were curling. Chase started tugging at CJ's shirt and...
…she stopped.
It wasn't the cameras. CJ didn't care about cameras. She didn't care about the jungle animals nearby. This was a familiar situation. Meet a guy. Get close to him. Get physical. Get heartbreak.
The wounds were still very fresh from another member of the Socotra cast. Not to mention her ex-flame, Tenzil Goodman, was not too far away back at camp.
Chase was puzzled. "What's wrong babe?"
"Chase, I like you," CJ started, "But we barely know each other and doing this here, right now, well, it would be bad."
He raised an eyebrow.
"I mean," she smiled, "Not bad. Really good actually. BUT -- outside of the sex, it would be a bad thing right now. You don't need to be hurt and I don't want to hurt you. So... let's just stick to flirting until we know each other better. A LOT better."
Chase appreciated her honesty.
"I think that sounds like a good idea."
CJ smiled as she remembered something.
"By the way Chasey, you owe me five bucks."
