I'm not going to do a perspective like some of the others, just due to my lack of things to say. These are just things that pop into my head while reading the episodes or based on others' comments.
- Coming in to this game, I was geeked, so to say, about the large number of people I didn't know. Well, sort of. I would later find out that I did know more people that were incognito but, for the time being, it felt great to be around a new group of great people considering the number of games I had been in in the past.
- I was drawn to both Gracie and Lucas like insects to light - both are/were such dynamic people. They could have fed me a verbal bullshit buffet and I would have come back time and time again with an empty plate.
- Contrary to popular belief, I did a lot of chatting during this game. Most of which, however, was not about the game - as I found it more fun to talk about people's 'real lives' outside of the game. I had put all my faith into the women sticking together and a final 2 with Gracie, so I didn't feel as if I needed to strategize much.
- I never once force fed a picture of my child on to anyone. I asked if they were interested in seeing one - if they said Yes, then I shared. If not, no biggie. I hate hearing people say that I played the 'mom role'. Wtf does that mean, I *am* a mom. If Joe Schmo left a conversation early to do homework one day, no one ever said "Oh, he's playing the Student Role." I'm a stay-at-home mom so that's just who I am. A lot of the qualities associated with the 'Mom Role', such as caring for and looking after people, isn't a Mom Thing, it's a Caring Individual thing - and applied to more than just myself in this game.
- For those who said not many people talked to them, let me throw out this bone for you to chew on: it's very hard to have a conversation with someone when they logged off AIM unexpectedly after 3 lines of conversation. Eventually you just stop trying - conversation is a 2 way street.
