Episode 1
Well this for me was unknown territory... because this for me is my actual first online game. My strategy going in to all of this was to be flexible, play dumb to a certain degree to hopefully distract from the fact that I do know a few things about the game, and do my best to adapt to the changing situations. I wanted to do my best to keep the promises that I made throughout the game... but was not going to tolerate anybody messing with me or lying to me.
For the first episode my main focus was to get to know everyone in the game as quickly as possible, try to get to them before the others. Because we were all in one tribe at the start I wanted to ensure that I talked to all 17 other castaways and I wanted to try and find common grounds with about half of them to show that I could be related to. Annette - was trying to get her Canadian citizenship. Ellie - has the same birthday as me. Rami - another 10 pin bowler. Taylor - a big volleyball player. As for the rest it was just meaningless conversation. I did however have some trouble relating to some people like Gracie, and Jenne which seems to be the complete opposite case for everyone else.
As for strategy in the first episode, I was set on just making promises to watch peoples backs so that if they turned out to be real creaps I wouldn't be bound to any crappy alliances. I formed this type of bond with steph, steven and rami, which eventually turned into a tight alliances. In other parts of the game I was in the chat where Taylor was continuously calling Ashlee - Lizzie and if I had known anything about her or other survivor games I would have definately caught on. But I didn't know so for the most part it flew over my head.
With regards to the whole Lisa situation, I was also in the chat where Stephanie said that she knew Lisa, that is why I told Jenne to allign herself with them so that she would have more votes on her side. But then I talked to Lisa and she told me that she didn't know anyone in the game so the red flags were waving so I told Ellie the first chance I got.
At this point I didn't really focus on Lucas because he really wasn't putting himself out there. At this point he seemed reliable and trustworthy enough, although he did spill that he had a strong pact formed with a girl on the other tribe to me. He didn't mention who and also didn't let on that there were that many.
