These are awesome Kyle, and you shouldn't have worried about the final two things because if the final three is Jenne, Kyle, and Taylor. Guess whose dropping out of the Challenge first. ;D

Episode 6: Saving Lucas #2
R.I.P. TONY
Let me just preface this commentary by saying, that my strategy going into this game was not to press the big bad "A" word. I was not going to cram it down anyone's throat. In fact, I wasn't even going to mention the word "Alliance" to anyone until I felt confident that we were tight and that I could trust them, and first and most importantly that we had a friendship going.
That's where my alliance lines would be drawn.
I was anxious to read this episode because I remember just how intense it was especially back when I was playing it. But of course when you go back and read it...you realize you had no freakin' idea. To say the least, this portion of the game invoked a lot of emotion from me...and also now, i'm finding, as I read it.
Where do I even begin?
When last we left this game, I had decided Lucas was going to have to go if I was going to make it anywhere. I felt like he was digging around too much about me, and the fact that he was talking to Jamie made it worse. In my other game, Hawaii, in which I was currently playing with Jamie and Lil Steven, my tribe was pulling an Ulong, and I was more or less the Stephenie of that tribe, so I had that to contend with. I knew that to get any further in that game would depend on Jamie.
Why is this important to Valentine's Day, you ask? Funny you should ask...let me tell you. Because I didn't know Jamie from Adam, didn't know what she was like outside of the game, didn't know if she played the same in all games, and most importantly, didn't know if to her each game was a separate entity as far as friends and enemies were concerned. I feared if I made the move to vote her out in Hawaii, that she would take it out on me in Valentine's Day...which was by far more important to me. And if she decided to take it out on me, then Lucas was in her pocket.
So for the time being I had to play it cool, and Lucas would have to go, not just because of Jamie, but because I had my eyes on him since before we first went to TC.
Of course, I'm seeing now through these episodes that Lucas had invested full trust in me up until this point. That always kind of sucks when you go BACK in time to realize that.
So after the challenge, a huge upset might I point out-- we smoked the girls the first round and then came crashing down--Tony grabbed Lucas, Taylor, and I for a little chat...a last minute scramble of sorts. And of course the first name tossed out was Ryan. I tried my best to defend him without making it look like we were so tight, under the guise that we needed his challenge skills to keep us winning the challenges.
Lucas agreed immediately.
*sirens sirens sirens*
What? Huh? Why? Ryan? Lucas do you have fever? You're defeding Ryan, the one you've been trying to get out since Mitch? Hmmmmm I found it odd, but no matter, Ryan was being saved, even though I hated that the target had switched to Rami. I didn't put TOO much stock in Lucas' immediate defense of Ryan until Taylor messaged with the same concern.
Long story short, we had but a fleeting moment of accusation that Ryan and Lucas were working together and I even snubbed Ryan one night because of it. Stupid accusation if you ask me. It passed quickly.
Nevertheless, it caused Taylor to want to take out Lucas, and the day of tribal council the plan was set. Ryan, Rami, Kyle, and Taylor would vote Lucas. Tony, Lucas, and Steve would vote Rami. But what does Taylor do but go straight to Gracie and tell her what's up. And why? I dont know. At this point, Taylor didn't even know who Gracie and Lucas were.
Gracie tells Jenne, both Jenne and Gracie tell Lucas....and there goes the neighborhood. I was never so mad as I was at Taylor that night.
**Special note** If ever you see instances as the game progresses of people patting themselves on the back for still standing in this game. Refer to this episode. **End Special note**
Taylor and I deliberate a little more, Jenne and Gracie are up in arms about Lucas' pending doom. It would seem that Taylor and I could be caught in a dire situation post merge if we pull this off. So we discuss some more...maybe it is best we go for Tony after all.
Let me back up a little....up to this point in the game, Taylor was my F2. I had become great friends with Jenne and Gracie (which is when I become confident in talking strategy) and since they already in some ways dictated who we voted for in OUR tribal councils, I made the assumption that we were in some, unspoken alliance. A "working together" if you will.
**May we ever learn the age old adage: To assume makes an ASS out of U and ME
So this is what I said to Gracie. To quote:
Notice I didn't even say the "A" word! No need to wash my mouth out with soap.
Silly me to intrude.
Anyway, Lucas practically attacked me the minute I signed on for TC, freaking out because the vote had changed. And I was talking to Jenne who confessed she had told Lucas that he had been a potential target. So of course I go straight over to jump all over Taylor...very irritated by this point that all of our votes were going through Jenne and Gracie first. That's when I began to realize that Jenne and Lucas probably knew each other before hand just like Jenne and Taylor.
So I went and did some quick homework before TC. Always my text was Survivor Central...Tonga, Okinawa and all that. I think that night I read through every profile of those 2 games before TC started, and still couldn't find anything. Trust me, I looked over Tenzil's profile and couldn't find anything....didn't put 2 and 2 together that his birthday was the same as Lucas' which was the same as mine. Why couldn't I have caught that?
So....Tony was blindsided. And in doing this Gracie and Jenne both assure me that Lucas is with Taylor and I 100% and that we do have an alliance going on. My wheels began turning because, as far as I knew, Ryan had no connections with the girls which could be detrimental to our merge situation.
So I began to rethink my position in the game. Here's the irony of this point: That night, because of Jenne and Gracie, my faith in Lucas was restored. Without a doubt, 100%. That night, because of me, Lucas' faith in me was destroyed.
Ladies and gentelmen, I find myself in a Survivor Paradox.

Here is Tony's chat that happened right after the Family Feud challenge:
Tony: Im really sorry about not getting one for the last challenge, I kept checking until about 20 minutes before it was unlocked Taylor: its okay Kyle: you don't have to worry tony Tony: anyway, what's happening at the next TC if its me that is going, I would at least like to know Kyle: we know you're in this game Tony: I trust you guys though, don't get me wrong Taylor: I don't really have plans yet Kyle: i don't know what to do Kyle: Lucas: I told Tony I would do what you guys wanted Tony: This is a really tough vote, no matter who goes, I think Kyle: very tough Lucas: but I prefer we stick with the pact we made with him, obviously Kyle: just vote me out Lucas: what Tony: you're not serious, are you? Lucas: you must be joking Kyle: i'm joking Kyle: LOL Tony: omg, don't do that lol Lucas: I had a heart attack Kyle: lol Tony: well, the way I see it, if we vote as a block, we have the majority, and none of us have to worry Taylor: agreed Kyle: yeah Tony: okay, so that leaves Steve, Rami, and Ryan Kyle: aye yi yi Lucas: I like Big Steve, personally, and think he adds value to the tribe Tony: I agree, and he's a nice guy to boot Kyle: I like all 3 but someone's gotta go Taylor: Rami/Ryan Tony: you know what I mean, not "to boot" as in voting off lol Taylor: the r's Tony: yeah, They are both playing the game very well, I think Ryan was scrambling for a while to get an alliance lined up Kyle: if we do the rami/ryan thing, can i suggest rami instead? Lucas: yeah Tony: sure Lucas: any reason why? Kyle: i just have a rapport with him, that's all....rami i haven't talked to much Kyle: i know its a game but this stuff just gets to me Tony: He seems that he could be a threat if/when we merge as well Kyle: i don't see as how since the girls have targeted him too Taylor: I still say ryan Lucas: well if Tony and taylor have no prob with rami then neither do I Tony: I would say Ryan as well Taylor: Ryan seems cratfier to me Tony: he has been really getting on me about not being active enough, and tried to start an alliance with me, and kept hampering me about it Taylor: and if something happens after this tc, which it will I'm guess Taylor: guessing* Tony: I think Ryan has something up his sleeves Taylor: Ryan is much more of a threat Taylor: and I agree Lucas: I agree--but Lucas: I think what he wants to do is hold onto a male alliance Tony: well, he says that Taylor: and maybe it has a little due to the fact that I wasn't invited into his allaince Lucas: true Taylor: and that doesn't make me feel as safe Lucas: like I said--either is fine Taylor: I'll go with either Taylor: but Ryan is my preference Kyle: i'll go with the group Tony: I would say Ryan Lucas: I'll say Rami. Lucas: I trust Ryan less....but....I see what Kyle is saying Tony: well, its 2-1 Taylor: I guess it's rami Tony: no, its 2 for Ryan Tony: me and you Taylor Taylor: oh okay Taylor: wanna roll a dice? Tony: doesn't matter to me OnlineHost: Taylor rolled 1 2-sided die: 2 Tony: what does that mean lol Kyle: i don't want this alliance to be split...that's the last thing we need Taylor: one rami two ryan?, everyone agree Tony: exactly, I agree Taylor: agreed Kyle Lucas: I'm fine with this is everyone is Taylor: I'll guess I'll go with Rami Tony: with what? the dice roll, sure Tony: ok, Ill vote Rami then, doesn't matter to me Tony: Im just glad you guys understand, thanks a lot for that Kyle: are you cool with it tony?? Tony: I am completely cool with it, Rami it is Kyle: cool...as long as there is no dicension here...we gotta stick together Lucas: agreed Tony: agreed as well Kyle: but i gotta go catch a movie Taylor: agreed Lucas: have fun! Kyle: it was fun guys Kyle: you all did great Tony: okay, thanks guys, talk to you soon Taylor: k Tony: and I won't be there at TC monday, I have showchoir practice that night, but I will leave my vote and everything, not to worry

I like Tony a whole heck of a lot, but this quote stuck in my mind is tribal council got closer and closer, and ultimently it's what killed his chances in the game, but on the other hand, if he is great at showchior and it's his hobby, then he needed to be there more than in the game.
Oh but you missed the entire point, and the episode doesn't really show it. Gracie/Jenne/Taylor had a makeshift alliance that continued after the Ashlee boot. At least in my ego centric mind it did, and I suspected Gracie as Beth for a while before they told me, the sign off times were the same, and the words they used were very similar. My goal going in was to have a direct or indirect connection with everyone left in the game by episode 6, and I almost succeded ( Big Steve, Kelley).
On the guys tribe: Lucas<-----Taylor-----> Kyle-------> Ryan/Rami V Tony
Big Steve was the only person I wasn't so closely connected to, at this point at least.
On the girls side Annette<--------Gracie<-----------Taylor-----------> Jenne-----> Jamie/Ellie
Therefore, on both sides of the spectrum, I always wanted someone watching out for me, and it worked at least until this episode, and as a good alliance partner I felt I had to let Gracie know what was going on, just as she did for me when the girls went to tc.

Episode 7: The Snake Revealed
R.I.P. RAMI
I have to first say, that Annette's reference to Tribe Arrow as Tribe T&B (Twig & Berries) made me FALL OUT laughing at work today! That was a good one!
This was the point when the game started getting the best of me. I knew I was quickly approaching the moment when i would have to really hurt someone. I was all about kicking butt in the challenge so that we wouldn't have to go to TC for me to do that. I also didn't want to go into the merge outnumbered by the girls....just in case....my alliance with the "five" wasn't legitamite. Little did I know at the time that I was being "dragged along" with Jamie for the four insiders.
Anywho...as always we guys had a pep-chat before the challenge to rally ourselves into another win. We felt great, we were gonna work together, we were a unified tribe again, but then....something happened.
You guessed it! We left the chat.
Yep, we left the chat and went our separate ways to slack off the challenge.
I can't point fingers to who did or did not do the challenge, and being logged onto AIM doesn't really tell you anything if someone was diligently refreshing gains and losses while not signed in. That could have been the case for all the guys but at the time all i was saw was that NO ONE was around but Ryan and I. The girls' numbers were shooting through the roof and I was livid. I think if it hadn't have been for the pep-chat, I might not have been so mad. I even did some refreshing at work, which is where I got the idea that there was some site or code that could be worked to do the refreshing automatically, but by then I was fresh out of time to search.
So we lost....again, and I knew who was going, and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. Rami had approached me about voting Lucas and telling me that Big Steve was on board. I knew that wasn't the truth because I had just finished talking to Steve and he told me that Rami was the person he trusted least of everyone.
So I got the pleasure of "implying" to Rami that I was with him to vote for Lucas.
It was here that I was finally convinced that Lucas was 100% with me and that I had a strong alliance with him, Taylor, Jenne, and Gracie. Lucas was no longer in my sites.
Also at this point I was doing my best to defend Ryan but I knew that too was a worthless cause. Their lack of connection with the girls had finally done them in, and I opted for a plan I thought might get me further in the game. Needless to say, Rami was not happy with me when the results were read. During the tribal council he sent me a message as the votes were being read, the first two for Lucas. His message was simply a smiley and "Lucas is gone." Then I couldn't stand it. I wouldn't want for anyone to be blindsided, so I broke as the third vote for Rami came up and I apologized to him.
But I still got a good cussin for about 20 minutes. SIGH!
I felt horrible, but I knew more might have to come in the near future. But for then, if we were having a traditional merge at final 10, we had one tribal council left to even things out with the ladies...and my mission was to make sure the guys won.
Another thing I must comment on as I read these episodes was how much I mistrusted Big Steve, and he seemed to never waver in his trust for me! Of course hind sight is only 20/20...but man, you have to think WHAT IF we played this game knowing all this coming in. Just what if...
Good thing about all this is Big Steve is a great person and buddy to keep in touch with!

Kyle, Kyle, Kyle... You can ask Beth, I was not happy with you during this episode! LOL... I was screaming at the computer! First off, I'd like to say something regarding the immunity challenge. Just because I wasn't on IM, doesn't mean that I didn't sit at my computer for hours and hours clicking refresh. I don't want to sound too cocky but I worked just as hard as anybody on our tribe on that specific challenge. And in your confessional, you mentioned that you were pissed at me because I came on briefly and then left. As you know already, I have IM problems but you should have had faith in me that I was working on the challenge alot. And you could see my name on the bottom of the game site, showing that I was active. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up. And you are right, my trust in you never wavered. Out of all the guys, I trusted you the most. And I don't regret trusting you either. If I had to do it all over again, I would've played my cards the same way. You are a great friend and I hope we can play in a future game together. Big Steve

Steve just so you'll know this...I realized even way back when that being signed onto AIM didnt mean a thing of who was working and who was not. Just at the very moment I was working on the challenge that is all my mind was thinking:
That was what I knew going into tribal council.
I realized I had jumped to conclusions, and my anger over that loss was but a split second fury--especially when I found out (thank you Kelley) that the girls had used a special refreshing webpage.

I remember this challenge when I was in Halloween, and Gary and I were the only two online and we were on dial up, but we were working out tails off, trying to rack up some points. I felt so helpless, I started asking some of my online friends that weren't in the game to do some clicking with me, LOL. One of them told me about a refreshing program, and he even went and downloaded it to refresh a page for me, however, he set the timer on it too short, so it was refreshing the pages before they got counted, LOL. But, at the last minute, another teammate on high speed got on and pushed our numbers up just enough for us to win it, then, the next time we lost, we voted her off. I really felt bad about voting her off, because she was the reason we won that challenge, however, she just never got on AIM to chat with anyone, except Gary, she did talk to him, but you have to talk to more than one person to make it in a game, you know?

No, I never coded the pages, but thanks Kyle. But I did see it done another time. Anyone with just a tiny bit of HTML or coding skills can alter the code to suit their purposes. The person I saw do it is one of the worst coders I've met, but they did an outstanding job and kicked some bootay doing it.
